1. Introduction Welcome to Kept! Your privacy is our absolute priority. Kept is designed to help you focus, build consistency, and create memories. This Privacy Policy explains how Kept handles your information and keeps your data secure.

2. Data Collection & Account Storage To keep your progress safe and allow you to access Kept across multiple devices, we provide the ability to create an account.

• App Data & Journals: When you create an account, your progress (XP, streaks, unlocked items, and daily quests) and personal journal entries (text and photos) are securely synced to our cloud database (powered by Google Firebase).
• Data Privacy: Your journal entries and focus data are tied securely to your account and are used solely to provide the app's core functionality. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal journal data or app progress with third parties.

3. In-App Purchases Kept offers in-app purchases and subscriptions. We use RevenueCat to securely process and manage these transactions. We do not process, intercept, or store your credit card or payment information on our servers; all payment processing is handled entirely and securely by Apple.

4. Apple Screen Time API (Family Controls) To provide the app-blocking focus timer, Kept utilizes Apple’s Screen Time API (FamilyControls and ManagedSettings).

• Strictly On-Device: We only use this API to temporarily hide or block apps on your device while your focus timer is running.
• No Tracking or Sharing: Kept does not collect, monitor, log, or export your Screen Time data, browsing history, or app usage. All app-blocking commands are executed locally on your device, and no Screen Time information is ever sent to our servers or shared with third parties.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting To help us maintain and improve Kept, we use third-party services (like Google Firebase) to collect basic app performance data and crash reports.

• This data is completely anonymous and does not personally identify you.
• We use anonymous device identifiers to understand how often crashes occur and to fix bugs quickly, ensuring the app runs smoothly.
• This diagnostic data is never sold or used for tracking purposes.

6. Data Deletion You have complete control over your data. You can permanently delete your account, along with all of your saved progress, journal entries, and personal data, directly from within the app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy from time to time as Kept grows. If changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised.
